Introduction:

This guide outlines the procedure for establishing a Clickatell account and integrating the Clickatell HTTP API with your PNPSCADA Notifications System.

Creating a Clickatell Account

1.  Access the Registration Page: Navigate to www.clickatell.com and select the 'Try for free' option at the top of the page.

2.  Complete Account Details: Enter your personal information, including email address and password. Please review and accept the terms and conditions.

3.  Email Verification: After registration, you'll receive a confirmation email from Clickatell. Check your inbox (and spam folder if needed) and verify your email address.

4.  Portal Login: Once your email has been verified, log in to the Clickatell portal. You will be directed to the 'Launchpad' homepage, which provides an overview of available channels and products.

SMS Channel Configuration

1.  Setting Up API Integrations: In the portal, configure your API integrations by navigating to 'Products & Services', selecting 'Channels', and then 'SMS'. Under 'SMS', choose 'Manage in My Workspace'.

2.  Create a New SMS Setup: Within 'My SMS Setups', click on '+ New SMS Setup'.

3.??????? Setup Type and Regions: For ?Messaging Type?, select ?One-way? and proceed by clicking ?Next?.

4.  API Type: Select 'Basic HTTP API', create a new HTTP API, and click 'Next'.

5.  HTTP API Setup Details: Enter your Setup Name and Description. Choose 'STANDARD' under 'SMS Service Class' and select 'Production' under 'Setup Type'. Adjust 'API Settings' and 'SMS Channel Settings' to fit your application requirements, optionally add a test phone number, then click 'Next'.

6.  API Details & Testing (Optional): Copy your API Key, before clicking 'Complete'. Now you are ready to do the setup in PNPSCADA.

Configuring the PNPSCADA SMS Connector

1. After logging into your PNPSCADA account, navigate to the edit menu, choose 'Role Notifications', and select 'Select from list' in the popup window.

2. Choose your role from the list and click 'Select'.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page; in the 'SMS Connector Type' dropdown menu, select 'CLICKATELL_HTTP'.

4. Input the API Key you obtained in Step 2.6 into the 'HTTP API Key' field and click 'Submit Changes'. Your Clickatell SMS Connector is now configured. Please ensure your Clickatell Wallet is sufficiently funded prior to testing.

Topping Up Your Clickatell Balance

1. Select your login account to access account options.

2. Click 'Top Up Balance'.

3. Specify the amount you wish to add.

4. Click the 'Top Up' button. Optionally, enable Auto Top Up to maintain your account balance.
