Hi i have 5g router that uses a sim for internet connection, it also has a serial to ethernet function (etherpad) which supports either Modbus RTU Gateway, Modbus ASCII Gateway and Modbus Transparent communication on the RS485/RS232 ports.

How can i set this router up with my meter to the pnpscada platform.

As long as the router can do straight passthrough you can set it up as a Generic Active Modem or Generic Active Etherpad on the system.

The system will allocate a unique port for that device usually in the 13000s or 23000s.
So just setup the device as Active/Client mode and enter the server's IP and use the allocated port number.
Then make sure the BAUD is set at 9600 and the frame is 8 databits, no parity, 1 stop bit with no flow control.
