Hi I am trying to read my Hexing HXF300, and it just return zero meter profile values. But I am sure it is drawing electricity, since the Energy Total counts up and the phasor graph shows there is positive energy happening.

Please help.

Ok, we notice that our hes system reads the meter with no errors, however all the values are zeroes.

Since pnpscada has the authority of a meter reader, we have to give you what we read from the meter. That is our full authority, and we cannot really exceed that. (unless we tell you through words/status like 'interpolated' or 'estimated' and/or events to qualify why)

Therefore, please go to the meter with HexView, which is the manufacturer software, and read the profile from the meter, and send us a screenshot or send us the csv download file, which ever is easier for you.

This procedure would show us whether the problem is in the meter (if HexView also give you zero), or whether the problem is in our software (HexView does NOT also give you zero).

This procedure is basically designed to empower you when you go to the Meter Manufacturer and ask him to fix it or swop your FAULTY METER, because the computer software you used to download the data is the software of the Meter Manufacturer himself, so therefore it has nothing to do with our system. That is very important, so that you can hold him accountable, and so that he cannot blame our software.

If the problem is our pnpscada software, you should download the HEX communication logs from HexView please, and send it to us, so that we can see where we went wrong. If we say the same commands to the meter as the manufacturer software, we should get the same (correct) readings. Please send the full HEX communication log if possible.

That is our full mandate: to read the meter as accurately as possible. If what the meter returns is wrong, we cannot do anything about that.

Thank you, HexView also returned zero for all values. We will now request help from hexing support to resolve this error.

Hi I am trying to read the Generator meter connected to my standalone Kamstrup meter. (connected to Tariff1 register).

However, the profile doesn't want to come in.

The meter itself reads in profile without a problem, but the virtual generator meters underneath doesn't call in at all.

Please help.

Please follow the normal procedure:

Using MeterTool (the Kamstrup computer software to read/configure your meter), please download the Analysis Logger, and see that it contains Tariff1-8 relevant registers.

Even if you can read the Tariff1, Tariff2 etc registers from the meter, it doesn't mean they are recorded into the meter memory in the Analysis Logger datalog.

Please check that they are configured there. If not, configure them, and if you can't pls take it up with the Meter Manufacturer (Kamstrup).

The procedure is basically designed to empower you when you go to the Meter Manufacturer and ask him to fix it or swop your FAULTY METER, because the computer software you used to download the data is the software of the Meter Manufacturer himself, so therefore it has nothing to do with our system. That is very important, so that you can hold him accountable, and so that he cannot blame our software.
